DJ SCRATCHY ONE -



ABOUT ME-
Coming from a musical family and background DJ Scratchy One started his musical journey as part of a well known dance crew called Zero One. His passion for music and huge influences from his older brothers Black Vinyl Magic and Simon Schoolboy Phillips soon inspired him further to pursue the music industry as a DJ and become DJ Scratchy One…
With 2 older brothers in the game Scratchy decided he wanted to find his own identity and style and set about developing his own skills. Although positively influenced by his brothers he took to the turntables to perfect his technique and created his own individuality of which we see today!



DEEJAYING-



DJ Scratchy one has been DJ-ing for 10 years in clubs across the UK and Europe. During this time Scratchy One has represented Warner and Sony Street teams, organizing promotional launch parties for Missy Elliot, Tweet, Eric Benet, Shola Ama to name a few, as well being the mix DJ for the O.D.B album sampler 'Nigga Please'.
Scratchy One co - founded what is still to date one of Leicester's biggest R&B / Hip Hop nights in Leicester called Finesse and although still deejaying there as a weekly resident, Scratchy One branched out to acquire other residencies at Ten rooms and Venom (London) as well as Gatecrasher in Sheffield just to name a few .
Bringing his DMC like cutting style to the club Scratchy One is renowned for his raw talent and has played on some of the hottest nights alongside well known artists like DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Cash Money, Grand MasterFlash, Kanye West, 112., Lupe Fiasco, NE-YO,MIMMS,GINUINE, MOP, DJ 279. DJ Kayper, Sticky, Kano, N-dubs. as well as Trevor Nelson, Shortee Blitz, DJ Semtex, Dj Swing (RIP) and many more!
For a part of Scratchy Ones career as a DJ he worked along side an MC/Host called Mikie who together were recognized for blowing up the clubs and hyping the crowd with their great vibes, skills and team work, known as 'Scratchy one and Mikie' they became very reputable on the scene as a twosome.



RADIO AND PRODUCTION-



Scratchy One has been an active part of Leicester's radio scene for the past 8 years holding prime time slots on various Leicester urban stations like Fresh FM, Carnival fm (R.S.L) Kicking FM, Juice FM, (R.S.L) Gold FM and Diamond!
Scratchy One has now started expanding his talent and love for music by taking a seat behind the boards and getting involved in the music production side of things and is working with some of Leicester's finest mcs and vocalists.
