Scissortooth is a powerful Metal band pushing forth pure energy and a punishing sound.
When Scissortooth sets foot on stage they immediately inject deadly doses of unforgettable Metal into the ears of every listener. With Heavy lyrics, sick riffs and mesmerizing solos Scissortooth serves an intensely gripping performance.
Derek Lundblad (Vocals/Guitar) and Shawn Hoskins (Drums) have a musical association that dates back to 1997 when they met in Grande Prairie, Alberta. They formed a band called Mantra, which opened for such established acts as Great White, Quiet Riot, and the Smalls. In 2003 they moved to Vancouver and formed Scissortooth.
By 2006 Scissortooth recorded and self-released their first album.
If you have never seen them live, this is a must see band with raw engery .They play from the heart and it shows on stage.
Scissortooth is currently working hard on their new album, which is expected to be released sometime in the new year.
