Schmuck were formed in November 2004 from the ashes of the phenomenally popular local band of the same name. The new incarnation of the band have taken Schmuck to a new level, adding flair and innovation to the bands already outstanding ability to write a catchy song.

The bands diverse new line-up has such varied influences that their sound is unique and very difficult to link to any particular genre. The live experience is the best way to truly understand the inner workings of Schmuck, a freshly creative band with no equal.Their music was a bit of a fusion between everything from funk to heavy rock. They were tight musicians and had a bit of style about them.Moles Club, BathOpening the night were the rather excellent Schmuck, who also seemed to be having a lot of fun; certainly they weren't fazed by the small early evening audience and delivered a set of anthemic songs. There is something quite endearing about a band who are as good as this but happily give themselves a name as self-deprecating as Schmuck.Bristol Evening Post Review, The Fleece 6th September

"There's a cheeky sense of inventiveness about schmuck that we just couldn't ignore and neither should you"Steve Lamacq (Radio 1)

"Schmuck demonstrated a level of stage presence and ability that is often lacking from fledgling bands""Schmuck proved over and over that they certainly know how to turn a song into a big big anthem""Solid and powerful Schmuck proved that a little confidence can go a long way"Bristol Evening Post
