Gegründet im Jahr 1995, fassten vier Jungs aus dem wilden Hohenlohe den Plan, mit räudigen Songs die Welt zu erobern. In der Besetzung Roger(v.), Tobi (g.), Rudi (b.) und Steffen (d.) brachten sie es bis zum Jahr 1999 immerhin auf zwei Demos, eine 7", zwei Alben („Derb & Gnadenlos" – 1998 „Wenn Es Nacht Wird" – 1999) und diverse Samplerbeiträge. Auch gab es in dieser Zeit viele geile Konzerte zusammen mit Bands wie BRASSKNUCKLES, BLANC ESTOC, PANZERKNACKER, VANILLA MUFFINS, THE PRIDE, HEADCASE, RABAUKEN, ZONA A, PUNKROIBER, VOLXSTURM, THE BRUISERS, OI!GENZ, SPRINGTOIFEL, BROILERS, uvm.
Im neuen Jahrtausend folgten dann leider einige Besetzungswechsel, die darin gipfelten das die Band quasi auf Eis lag. Im Sommer 2006 jedoch beschlossen Roger (das einzige verbliebene Gründungsmitglied) und Chris, der 2001 Tobis Nachfolge als Gitarrist antrat, wieder Nägel mit Köpfen zu machen und die Songs die sich in der Zwischenzeit angesammelt hatten aufzunehmen und zu veröffentlichen. Gesagt, getan: das Ergebnis hörte auf den Namen „…Ain't Dead" und mit KB-Records fand man auch eine neue Label-Heimat. Das Lineup wurde mit Chriss (g.), Dani (b.) und Timo (d.) aufgestockt und bald war man dann auch wieder bereit die Bühnen dieser Welt unsicher zu machen.
Höhepunkte 2007 waren die Show auf dem „Total Oi!"-Festival in Torgau (u.a. mit TOXPACK, GEWOHNHEITSTRINKER, HATEFUL) und der Gig mit den KRAWALLBRÜDERn.
Das Jahr 2008 brachte nicht nur weitere gute Gigs mit UNDERDOGZ, GEWOHNHEITSTRINKER, PRODUZENTEN DER FROIDE, KRAWALLBRÜDER, ROIMUNGSTRUPP, LAMMKOTZE, FLAT SPROCKETS, RAZORBLADE, IRON FIST, u.a., sondern auch erneute Veränderungen im Lineup. Anstelle von Dani übernahm Steff den Bass, Chriss übergab seine Gitarre an Dave und Timo gab seine Sticks an Simon weiter. Roger und Chris blieben wo sie waren und begannen mit der runderneuerten Truppe mit der Arbeit am neuen Album. Ausserdem veröffentlichten KB-Records einen Re-Release der ersten beiden Alben plus der 7" mit dem Titel „Die Alte Zeit".
Im Jahr 2009 angekommen wurden die ersten Shows mit u.a. SUICIDE KINGS, FATAL, SCHLOIDERGANG gespielt und es sollte sich herausstellen, dass SCHARMÜTZEL live so stark waren wie noch nie. Die neuen Songs vereinen Einflüsse aus Hardcore, Rock'N'Roll und einer Prise Metal mit dem puren Oi!-Punk aus den Anfangstagen der Band.
Im April begann man mit den Aufnahmen zum vierten Album, das den Namen „Forward Into War" tragen soll.
Die nächste größere Station war das United Street Kids Festival in der Schweiz wo sich SCHARMÜTZEL mit Bands wie PERKELE, KRAWALLBRÜDER, RAZORBLADE, uvm. die Bühne teilten.
Im Dezember war es dann soweit: Die neue Scheibe „Forward Into War" erblickte durch Bandworm Records das Licht der Welt.
2010 startet nun also mit einem starken, neuen Release im Rücken und Bühnenwind im Gesicht. .

Founded in the year 1995, four boys the from the wild Hohenlohe started to plan conquering the world with mean and dirty sounding songs. The former lineup Roger(v.), Tobi (g.), Rudi (b.) and Steffen (d.) brought it up to two demos, a 7", two albums ("Derb & Gnadenlos "- 1998, "Wenn Es Nacht Wird "- 1999) and various compilations. But in summer 2006 Roger (the only remaining initial member) and Chris, who replaced Tobi in 2001 decided to record and release the songs, which had been written and collected since 2000. Said, done: the result is called ". Ain't Dead" and along with KB-Records, they also found a new label. The lineup was finally completed with Chriss (g.), Dani (b.) and Timo (d.) and soon they were prepared to enter the stages of this world again. Topevents of 2007 were the show at the "Total Oi!"-festival in Torgau (with bands like TOXPACK, GEWOHNHEITSTRINKER, HATEFUL) and the gig with KRAWALLBRÜDER.
2008 didn't just bring even more good shows with UNDERDOGZ, GEWOHNHEITSTRINKER, PRODUZENTEN DER FROIDE, KRAWALLBRÜDER, ROIMUNGSTRUPP, LAMMKOTZE, FLAT SPROCKETS, RAZORBLADE, IRON FIST, and others, it also came along with some lineup-changes. Instead of Dani, Steff became the new bassplayer, Chriss passed his guitar-job to Dave and Timo left his sticks for Simon. Roger and Chris stayed right where the were and started work for the new album with the renewed crew. Meanwhile KB-Records re-release the first two bums plus the 7" under the title „Die Alte Zeit".
Arrived in 2009, the first shows with bands like SUICIDE KINGS, FATAL, SCHLOIDERGANG were played and it turned out that SCHARMÜTZEL have never been intense on stage like they were now. The new songs combine influences of hardcore, rock'n'roll and a little bit of metal with the pure oi!-punk the band started with.
In april, they began recording sessions for the fourth album „Forward Into War".
The next bigger station was the "United Street Kids Festival" in switzerland, where they shared the stage with bands like PERKELE, KRAWALLBRÜDER, RAZORBLADE and many more.
In december it finally happened: the new album „Forward Into War" was released by Bandworm Records.
So, 2010 started with a strong, new release in ther backs and stage-wind in their faces.
