Weight, rhythm, groove, pulse. These are just a few of the many words that can be used to describe
Sayowa and what these six guys from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, can do best.
The new album is the fruition of a few years of hard working, building a curriculum that many brazillian
bands aspire as an international career: the guys have made three European tours, playing in Germany, Austria,
Switzerland, Hungary, Belgium, Spain and Holland.
In European territory Sayowa shared the stage with Megadeth, Sepultura, Fear Factory and Pro-Pain. Besides
that, the band’s first album, “Treme Terra” (the same name given to the big percussion drums) has made some of
the guy’s dreams come true at the time. The album features three tracks with Andreas Kisser on guitar and one
track mixed by Billy Graziadei, former Biohazard singer and guitar player, nowadays with his band Suicide City.
After a little while “out of air” we’re back here to say that we have the new percussion guy (yes, finally!!) and that we’re going to Europe again. This time we’ll play 11 dates in Belgium and Holland, on what is the first edition of a tour called Beyond The Chaos, a project completely thought out and produced by us in partnership with Bear Brown Productions, from Belgium. We’re going on this tour with our friends Maldita, Envydust and Seita, all Brazilian bands, and we’re very proud to be making this pioneer event. This will be the first time that 4 Brazilian artists tour outside of Brazil together. The first time ever. Our idea is to make the tour at least twice a year and take it to other places like USA, Canada and other South American countries on the next step. Everything has been going great with the tour so far and we’re betting all our coins on the project. By the way, the new percussion guy is Rodrigo Konder (A.K.A. Derrick Branco), a long time friend of us. He’s fitting the band like a glove (as we say here in Brazil) and this will be his first time playing in Europe. He has done a few shows with us, including 2 appearances with P.O.D. in São Paulo and Chile.
