SAVOIR FAIRE_HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD OUT NOW!
Savoir Faire hails from south central Los Angeles California. He was fortunate enough to have parents with good musical taste. He was raised on a healthy diet of Big Joe Turner,Jimmy Reed,Merle Haggard,Charlie Pride,Barry White, Al Green, Aretha Franklin,Johnny Nash,Ella Fitzgerald, James Brown, 60's era Rolling stones,the list goes on. As he got older his love for the rebellious side of music grew. Bo Diddley,Chuck Berry,The Rolling Stones,The Ohio Players & Parliament became personal heroes for this reclusive disenchanted youth. It was all over when his cousin Chris introduced him to punk rock & rap. Soon the sounds of Iggy Pop, The New York Dolls,Sex Pistols,X,Wayne/Jayne County,The Ramones, The Heartbreakers, The Dead Boys,The Germs,Schooly D,and Ice-T became his beat to the filthy streets. He spent his youth checking out all kinds of LA street level music. His favorite live acts were The Cheifs, The Berry Pickers,The Joneses,Gun Club,Ice-T & Hollywood's notorious Mau-Maus. Guitar became his instrument of choice. He practiced Chuck Berry,Johnny Thunders,Bobby Womack,Ron Wood,Robert Ward and Eddie Hazel licks, all cooked together to form Savoir Faire's get up & get involved style.
With all this behind his belt he formed the Fancy Lads with Robin Pivara.They managed to put out one 7" Everything Is You/You Got That(Shake Appeal), appeared on a Jeff Dahl comp called Trash On Demand Volume II which had a track entitled Have You Ever. They also appeared on a soundtrack Born To Lose which was on Bomp Records.(they actually got money from them!) They recorded an album but it was never released due to self sabotaging behavior. The Fancy Lads went their separate ways (His still good homie Chris Parsekian went on to form Denim & The Goodtime Women) Tony HI-Fi AKA Savoir Faire recorded several George Clinton/Andre Williams influenced albums like The Mighty Oreo Nation with Lord Canigula and two solo projects-Sextiny and the 2nd release Sex Magick. He has just completed his 3rd solo release called Hooray For Hollywood (produced by longtime friend Luther Russell)and is looking for an indie record label who is as unique & crazy as he is!

CHECK OUT THIS BIO WRITTEN FROM AN INTERVIEW HE DID WITH HIS MAN ALLEN LARMEN;
SAVOIR FAIRE – HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD –
Savoir Faire returns to his rock 'n' roll roots on his latest recording, "Hooray For Hollywood." Imagine Chuck Berry, Bobby Womack, Johnny Guitar Watson, The Sex Pistols, Bo Diddley and Rod Stewart (in his early days) whirled in a blender and the final product would not be too dissimilar from this recording. Escape with Savoir Faire to the trashy world of tinsel town's streets. The opening selection, "Frustration" sets the tone for the running theme of " Hooray For Hollywood" which deals with hardships of survival in a big city. "This album is for the working class and the people who don't have good luck like the denizens of the night," said Savoir Faire. "I wanted a wild take no-prisoners head cutting sound." Songs like "Pirate Of The Hollywood Hills' and "Guitar Toting' Pimp" are not only honest and brutal, but they are also autobiographical in nature. From an early age, Savoir Faire started hanging out at local blues bars, scoring opportunities to back such rhythm and blues legends as Joe Houston, Mickey Champion and Johnny Morrissette. His boyhood band, The Fancy Lads, nurtured his rock 'n' roll chops. Savoir Faire has also appears on compilations like " Born To Lose" (Bomp Records) and Jeff Dahl's "Trash On Demand." (Ultra Under). An unreleased demo was recorded in Alabama with members of soul legend Eddie Hinton's band that included John Wyker of Sailcat. Savoir Faire has created an underground buzz with his two previous self-released productions, "Sextiny" and "Sex Magic, In order to achieve a more organic sound, Savoir Faire forgoes the use of synthesizers on "Hooray For Hollywood," while further creative inspiration courtesy of producer Luther Russell (The Freewheelers) rounds out the recording's classic rock 'n' roll sound. Song like "Crazy Shoes" and Rock "n' Roll Thug" evoke a certain edgy raunchiness many find lacking in modern popular music. "I'm sick of all of that whiney personal rock out there these days," said Savoir Faire." It is time for someone to cut through all this hippie crap." "Hooray For Hollywood" is not some type of nostalgia trip. Savoir Faire is waking up rock and rock from the dead. He will be promoting this release by hitting the road and touring. You have been warned! Savoir Faire – Hooray For Hollywood

SAVOIR FAIRE's albums, "Sextiny" and "Sex Magick" are NOW AVAILABLE at CD Baby, iTunes and AMOEBA MUSIC (Hollywood)

Chatterbox Magazine (Vanessa Ichinois)
"Savoir Faire ascended from an urban, trashy abyss; an entertainer who has an honest, true, take-me-as-I-am-or-leave-me-alone attitude. His guitar work is liquidy and jagged while it rips, rends and caresses all at the same time. His semi-raspy voice wraps itself around a lyric like an undernourished anaconda around a corpulent A&R rat. The music of Savoir Faire rages right on up with a bubbling, irreverent, luscious sound. He's got a heart full of soul."
Urban Network Magazine (A. Scott Galloway) volume 16.number 4
"This ni**a STILL aint got no home training'! Earnin up a rep the old school way -
with homemade CDs he slings from the trunk of his hooptie on Sunset Boulevard -
. Take the monologues of early Bobby "The Poet" Womack, the do it yourself spirit of Blowfly and the eclectic
musical voodoo of trash rock, and you have a working sketch of where this notorious West Coast character
is coming from. . he's always nervy and entertaining as hay-yell!"

Nikki Sudden was kind enough to write this before he passed. he is missed and is remembered through these sites: Website /
Jacobites / 'myspace' site "Anyone who digs Bobby Womack, Ron Wood, Johnny Thunders and Chuck Berry (among others) is cool in my book. Your stuff sounds great! . N"
