These warm nights under blazing Florida skies

Have become memories of better dreams

We sang with with hearts wide open

Our eyes taking in the city lights

We were alive



We sat in empty parking lots

Talking of integrity

And where we saw these roads leading us

Well my friend your words were to the wind

As you have departed us



We found summer's questions at our doors

We found a canvas we were to paint

We walked the same roads

Shoulder to shoulder

The same hopes

The same dreams

Are these the last notes?

We were a collective. We were best friends writing our hopes into music. This was the foundation we stood on through all our issues. In the end distance and time grew us apart. Resentment grew in the cracks and still lives in small pockets no matter how we'd like to deny it. This is what we spent our summers doing. This was where our importance lived no matter how unimportant it was to the world or unknown it is and will continue being. We were brothers, friends once.
