Savak is an electronic band! Savak is rock 'n' roll! A dark light in a bright world. And an industrial powerhouse!

Savak is a master of tension and intelligent soundscapes: his music never becomes boring. - New Empire Magazine

These dark instrumentals are just the break you need from all that jerking off to Britney Spears-or perhaps perfect for jerking off the Britney Spears. - Zero Magazine

A diverse, timely sonic exploration of the present, wary era we all must acknowledge. - Outburn Magazine

The atmosphere is laced with distraught, tattered sheets of noise, unveiling music as uncompromising as the subject matter. - Alternative Press

Savak, named after the now collapsed Iranian secret police, is a 3 piece electro rock band that originated on October 1, 1997 in San Francisco, CA and is now based out of Hollywood, CA. Savak’s writing and musical influences include Nine Inch Nails, The Sisters of Mercy, Skinny Puppy, The Jesus and Mary Chain, and New Order.

Scott Beebe is the singer and guitarist of the band. He composed the band’s first release, the highly anticipated "Four Hundred Forty Four Days" CD (Possessive Blindfold) in 2000. The music and ideology of this release was the Iranian hostage crisis of 1979 where American hostages were held captive in Tehran for 444 days. The music blended dark, cinematic soundscapes with brutal industrial percussion and bleak soundtrack escapes. 2001 saw the second release entitled “The Taliban Pistol” (Unit Records) which blended elements of trip-hop, drum & bass, dark ambient, and traditional industrial undertones. After a break, 2005 showed Savak releasing its third CD, “Chemical Elements 3” (M-Tronic Records). This was a split CD with long time pal and ex-Holocaust Theory cohort, James Vietzke a.k.a. Zymosiz.

After years of solo performances in such territories as USA, Latvia, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, France, and Germany and sharing the stage with such notables as Das Ich, Sheep on Drugs, Diary of Dreams, Suicide Commando, VNV Nation, Covenant, Noisex, and more, Scott wanted to collaborate with other musicians.

In 2007, he enlisted long time friend, Rusty Eltringham, to play bass. The two have since rehearsed, played live, and are recording the band’s fourth release “Pleasure Dagger” in Hollywood, CA with producer Pete Mills whose credits include working with Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy, and Motley Crue. Savak has also licensed music to a number of different films including Newbie Sports, Indian Skiing featuring Franceso Quinn (24, Platoon, Placebo Effect, Young and the Restless) released by Viral Vector Media.

With the release of “Pleasure Dagger”, Savak plans to open their music up to a whole new audience and will be aggressively looking for licensing and touring opportunities along with showing the world that Savak continues to evolve after 10 years with no stopping in sight.
