About Nabil ‘Sandman’ Ansara
Nabil ‘Sandman’ Ansara, Jr. has always had a love and fascination for music and the arts, which he has developed over the years into a refined talent and business. He has taught himself how to play the guitar, piano and percussion while also mastering the turntables. During the years of DJing in clubs, bars, weddings, parties and special events his passion turned into a life goal. While interacting with professionals in the industry, he knew he needed to refine his raw talent with professional training. From this realization, he pursued his internship with radio station WJLB where he learned to hone in his skills with the art of DJing but also learned different aspects of the business.
He was able to make many contacts and friends within the music and film industry, again broadening his skills, his intrigue and his goal. The first film Nabil participated in was Forbidden Fruits, in which he wore multiple hats. In this film he not only acted but also assisted in scoring the film as well as creating and producing multiple songs for the soundtrack. During this time Nabil had been building his studio piece by piece. The first location for his studio was in his parent’s basement, coined ‘The Sandbox.’ Here he created his first beats and started recording his first artists.
Through practicing his growing business skills, Nabil planned and paced himself to grow out of The Sandbox location within three years and into a commercial building in Livonia, MI where he’s currently resided for the last five years. In this short time Nabil has grown his production business into an entertainment realm. He creates all genres of music, coaches and mentors artists and young producers, writes lyrics and engineers tracks. Some noted artists Nabil has worked with: Tony Yayo of G-Unit, Royce 59, JPZ of UNV, Stevie Soul, Chief, Foolish and Lou Dimes. Foolish has appeared on BET’s Comic View and has his own radio show on FM 98 WJLB. Stevie Soul has toured twice in the Middle East promoting his first album Kisses Cross Campus produced by Nabil ‘Sandman’ Ansara.
To further expand his horizons, Nabil has opened a jingle writing/producing company called Assembly Line Productions with partners Nick Marko and Patrick Karbon. Assembly Line Productions (ALP) composes in-house original music for multimedia, web applications, scoring for films, documentaries and television. With over 36 distinctive genres, ALP prides themselves with a unique touch.
