Born in the Bronx and raised in Philadelphia, uber-producer Samik Ganguly also known as “The Symphony” is a classically trained violinist as well as a DJ that has transitioned into being a production powerhouse. Being one of the founding members of Business As Usual Entertainment along with flagship artists 'Loose & PT', Samik has helped shape the sound of the duo since their debut album "Night & Day" and continues to do so on their upcoming "The Corner Office on the Top Floor" mixtape series.
Samik also is a member of the Philadelphia-based, award winning, major label production team MATRAX productions (www.matraxmusic.com). Back in 2008 his talent caught the ear of Scott Carter who virtually demanded that he join the Matrax production team. Since then Samik has brought his multi-syncopated, synth-laden, string heavy sound to the Matrax team with spectacular results.
With a history of rave reviews on the underground hip-hop circuit, Samik has been catching the ears of major label artists, songwriters, producers and executives. Looking forward to this year, Samik is anticipating several major label placements as well as helping Business As Usual Entertainment reach an even higher plateau, both sonically and as a business entity.
