"Jetlag? Ma figurati se esiste il jetlag."(Enrico Ghezzi)Il Jetlag esiste. Eccome.Un'idea concepita e realizzata da Livio Magnini, Jacopo Rondinelli ed Emilio Cozzi. Jetlag vuole anzitutto essere un guest-concept album realizzato in Italia anche con ospiti stranieri. Sulla scia di progetti come One Giant Leap, o di gruppi come Chemical Brothers, Blu Man Group e Zero 7, Jetlag si avvale di interventi preziosi firmati da ospiti del mondo dello spettacolo.Le tracce del progetto Jetlag, On the Air, hanno tutte sonorità di matrice elettro-pop pur essendo molto diverse fra loro ed esplorando generi differenti. Non essendo un gruppo tradizionale e in virtù della propria versatilità, il trio si è infatti subito aperto alle suggestioni sonore più varie.In On the Air si passa da ballad a suggestioni house-oriented, dalle sonorità eighties di un brano allincedere drumnbass di quello successivo.I suoni sintetici (concepiti in una dimensione home-studio nel quartier generale del trio, l'Animal House) si fondono con il calore degli strumenti acustici, alcuni dei quali costruiti appositamente per il disco dai Jetlag stessi e suonati, fra gli altri, da musicisti della New Power Generation e da Elio Marchesini, percussionista dellorchestra del Teatro alla Scala di Milano.

La produzione artistica di Livio esalta ulteriormente linternazionalità del progetto, peraltro masterizzato dal guru californiano Brian Gardner (Eminem, No Doubt, Cristina Aguilera).Dimensione fondamentale di Jetlag proprio la sua trasversalità artistica. All'ambito strettamente musicale infatti, i tre Jetlag affiancano un'attenzione particolare nei confronti dell'universo dell'immagine, rappresentando il progetto come una sorta di compagnia aerea virtuale e futuribile attraverso un logo e un concept grafico legati al viaggio.Il gruppo cura direttamente anche la realizzazione di gadget, video e grafiche con peculiari attinenze ai propri requisiti concettuali.Oltre ai brani, On the Air include una traccia rom (di 8) con video-story del progetto, contenente contributi dei Jetlag e dei loro ospiti."Jetlag? No doubt about it.The concept and implementation of the project are Livio Magninis, Jacopo Rondinellis ed Emilio Cozzis creatures.Jetlag is first of all a guest-concept album made in Italy by artists from Italy and beyond.Following other projects like One Giant Leap, or bands like the Chemical Brothers, Blu Man Group and Zero 7, Jetlag collect precious performances by many a guest from the entertainment circus.All the tracks of Jetlags project, On the Air, are deeply rooted in the electro-pop tradition, though each one is substantially different from the other and exploring different genres. Jetlag are indeed an unusual ensemble, and their flexibility allows them to open up to the most diverse musical inspiration.On the Air ranges from ballads to house-oriented sound , from the beat of the eighties to drumnbass.The synthetic tones (coming out of their home-studio and headquarters, Animal House) melt with the warm sound of acoustic instruments, some of them especially made by Jetlag and played, among others, by musicians from New Power Generation and by Elio Marchesini, drummer of Milans La Scala Theatre orchestra.Livios artistic career to date also emphasizes the projects international nature, same as the CD burning carried out by the Californian guru Brian Gardner (Eminem, No Doubt, Cristina Aguilera).The crucial feature of Jetlag is exactly the crossing between artistic dimensions. The three members of Jetlag combine the strictly musical factor with detailed attention to the world of images, picturing the project as an fictional airline of the future with a corporate logo and a graphic concept inspired by travel. The band also personally designed gadgets, videos and graphic art connected to the project and its specific concept requirements.

Apart from the songs, On the Air includes an 8 Cdrom track, the projects video-story, with contributions by both Jetlag and their guests.
