sadie hawkins rejects

formed in high school, in 1999, S.H.R, originally knows as "SADIE HAWKINS REJECTS," came together as a result of fuck-all else to do in arlington, washington. after a few minor lineup changes, the band started to book shows immediately in their local area. their fierce brand of dark, hardcore punk, combined with high-energy live perfomanaces was a much needed transplant into the heart of a small, nameless town. after all the local firehalls and community clubs had been ruined by enthusiastic fans, they discovered the illustrious kellogg marsh grange hall in marysville. this place would become the weekend home for hundreds of subcultural kids in the snohomish county area, as well as many great bands including GRAVEYARD SHIFT, AIDEN, and MORAL CRUX. after playing countless shows at the Kellogg Marsh Grange, with dozens of amazing bands, they began to double the maximum capacity of two-hundred kids per show.

since their birth, S.H.R has always embraced the D.I.Y mentality from printing thier own t-shirts and patches, to putting out their own records, and booking countless shows and two west-coast tours. S.H.R have shared the stage with the likes of MORAL CRUX, UK SUBS, THE START, RIVER CITY REBELS, DEATH BY STEREO, THE HOODS, AIDEN, NEKROMANTIX, THE AKAS, THE BRIGGS, and earned a spot on the 2003 VANS WARPED TOUR, as well as headling shows at seattle's premier punk rock club, the GRACELAND (now known as el corazon).
