THE BAND:

One day these guys happened to meet, they placed their instruments in an underground garage giving the birth to RUN&GUN.



It took only a few months and all the underground clubs in Sardinia became full of fierce followers of this drums/ voice - guitar duo. It was such a big wave that, even those directors who since a year before were opening the way to perform on their stage only to cover bands, acoustic sets, karaoke shows and similar, they all found themselves involved in and started to focus on the duo.



It sounds just words maybe, but Run & Gun music, its reality.

Listening to Run&Gun music you can be captured in a rage passion, or simply ignore it cause you cant feel it. Anyway, nobody has ever dared to say this sound lacks passion and energy.



RUN&GUN

Its simple as its literary meaning itself: run and gun.



Run & Gun is a technique concerning Basketball and consists in break up with the traditional schemes and let the play get faster, aim at the basket without thinking about the better thing to do, but relying to one own legs, breath, pluck. Clearness of mind and wild movements.



Basket teams often rely on these playing tatics as the last chance, when time and points on the score show a gap too big to fill in.



As the Run&Gun technique is performed on the field, also the audience feels much more involved; the match grew in energy and enthusiasm and let an old schematic sport acquire a new force.



Run and Gun is the pureness of Basketball, is what you can see in the field during minibasket plays, and is what kids until 12 -13 years old feel the basket to be.



Run and Gunarms are your only instinct, lungs your only cage.

Stop breathing and do your best, the fastest and most vigorous will be the winner, the one who cant run on is out.

The result is an amazing, straight, here and now show.



In the last 6 months weve worked for what now is and forever will be Run & Gun.

BIOGRAFIA



Aprile 2005.

“Antefatto”:



Cagliari - Sardegna



I due ragazzacci si conoscono ad un concerto, e dopo poche chiacchere si rendono conto di non esser soddisfatti della loro attività musicale, in particolar modo dell’approccio al palco dei propri compagni di band.

Si rincontrano nel'Aprile 2005, sistemano i propri strumenti in un box-auto sotterraneo e così nasce Run&Gun.

Dopo un’ estate caldissima e un autunno malinconico passato perennamente tra le pareti della sala prove , il duo Voce-chitarra-Batteria gira in lungo e in largo tutta l’ isola, sfogando la rabbia covata in quei mesi.



Aprile del 2006: esce il 1° demo, inciso al live studio di Cagliari. Nei mesi successivi i ragazzacci hanno la fortuna di aprire per band del calibro di SIKITIKIS- RADICI NEL CEMENTO-SUPER ELASTIC BUBBLE PLASTIC.

Superata l’ estate 2006, nella quale vengono selezionati dal NOKIA MUSIC LAB con un pezzo (Out Of Fashion) mandato in rotazione nei principali disco-club della riviera romagnola , la band decide di lasciare l’ isola (compreso lavoro, ragazze, amici, famiglia, clima) e di trasferirsi in Veneto, esattamente il 16 ottobre 2006.

Trovata la sala prove, un lavoro poi una casa, inizia l’ attività live, anche se sporadica, per via di un giro di conoscenze che va ancora creato.

Fine dicembre 2006Video promozionale di “ONE IN A BILLION”, realizzata da SolidSteam , in una baita sul monte grappa Video semi professionale ma incisivo, che permette alla band di farsi conoscere.

…i due ragazzacci compaiono in un film hard di produzione italo ungherese, girato in un casolare nella provincia di rovigo…ma questa è un’ altra storia….e che storia!!!



Giugno 2007 : registrazione live al RoxyBar di RED RONNIE (Bologna) …



Estate 2007 R&G selezionati per far parte della OVERUNDERGROUND COMPILATION, insieme ad altre 15 band venete, dando via ad un tour promozionale per tutto il Veneto.



Novembre 2007

I Run&Gun vengono invitati da Rock Tv a partecipare ad una puntata di “Sala Prove”.



Dicembre 2007



Red Ronnie invita la band a salire sul palco del MOTORSHOW, in occasione del 5° festival “Volkswagen-I Miti della Musica”.

Sul palco la band si dispone in linea (vedi Hormonauts e Super Elastic Bubble Plastic) con questa strumentazione:



- batteria---cassa da 20”, rullo da 14”, rullo da 10”, tom 12”, timpano 16”,

più crash da 16”, 18”, 20”, ride da 22”, splash 10”, h.h. 13”;



-chitarra: jcm 900 testata/cassa per chitarra + ampli per basso.

Per compensare le frequenze basse e ingrossare il suono viene utilizzato questo sistema: il segnale viene diviso nei due ampli da un

pedale chiamato TRIPLER della MORLEY, che permette di far suonare

contemporaneamente o separatamente i due ampli.
