"A strong sign that U.K metal isnt dead" 5/5 - Big Cheese Magazine

"Blistering metal-core. They've sure got some groove, as well as bags of ability" - Rock Sound Magazine

"One of the most promising debuts for a band in recent years. It’s like they took the last 20 years in heavy music and produced a ‘best of’ soundtrack" - Glasswerk

"Fiery traditional metal from promising young Midlands-based quintet characterised by twin lead guitar exchanges and battering rythms." - Metal Hammer

The Machine has been unleashed and who can stop it! - Review score: 100% - Rock3Music.com

"Versatile lyrics and amazing constructions convince that the band really know what they want" - Rock Sound Italy

"There's no denying that The Machine is a record that contains some fantastic moments. An album that undoubtedly points to a band that could develop into something special" - Rockmidgets.com

"If you believe that stage diving should be an Olympic sport, in the power of the mosh and that circle pits should always run counter-clockwise, then you need to listen to this record" - Mass Movement

"Rue the Day (great name) are good, in fact I would go so far as to say they are very good, they're like a modern take on Maiden/Metallica with singalong choruses. The guitar work on this album is top notch!" - RoomThirteen.com

"Rue the Day are one of the bands cleverly freeing themselves from the shackles of genre and stereotype and simply letting their music speak for itself." - planetloud.com

"With bands like Rue The Day forming the backbone of the UK assault, things can only get better. They've managed to forge their own identity, that most elusive of thrash trophies" - Subba Cultcha

{on The Machine album}"Very, very good it is too" - The legendary Bruce Dickinson on BBC Radio 6

"They surely are the chosen ones"

Pete Chambers - 'The Citizen'

"Well crafted modern metal full of killer riffs, melodies and hooks galore. Strong contenders to fill the shoes of expired metal legends Kill II This and Vacant Stare and bring the UK scene back into the international limelight"

- Unsigned Magazine

Rue The Day are immersing themselves into a burgeoning metal scene; leading the charge of fresh British thrash talent. Unleashing their debut album on Casket Records and selling out online within the first day of release alongside glowing press coverage (‘Big Cheese Magazine’ rating the album 5/5), a September UK tour and big budget film soundtrack with Oceanstorm’s ‘Hotel Caledonia’ (starring Kris Marshall and Kelly Brook) beckon.

And it's been all go - from tours of eastern europe to making the final of Surface Unsigned (the only metal band to do so from 12,000 entrants nationwide) - Rue The Day’s music has featured on MTV 2's Headbangers Ball, a ‘history of thrash’ Big Cheese covermount CD and a number of extreme sports films - while the band themselves have ripped apart a string of high-profile venues; Camden Underworld, Southampton Joiners and Birmingham Academy 1 to name but a few.

Proving a particular favourite with legendary Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson, with regular airplay on his BBC Radio 6 metal show, RTD have been widely touted as ones to watch amongst the underground metal press – Devolution magazine christening them as ‘your new favourite band’.
