Curiousity killed the cat.so you've been warned.
Born: 2005 (Cheers Parsley!)
Age: "I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now" copywrite-Bob Dylan
Synopsis: 'Dramatic Cabaret'
Past CD releases: 'Boom'-2003, 'Awaken' ep-2006 (when known as Raven)
Weapons: Guitar, Throat & Pen
Influences: 'The Holy Trinity'-Sir Cliff Richard: I pity all those who've dismissed this true giant as purely M.O.R. pap, he's been at the top of his profession for over 50 years, and shows little, if any, signs of slowing down. When recently seeing him on his last tour, I witnessed a visual purely fluent with energy and a voice that rivals any past or present (with the exception being my personal fave-Roy Orbison) his is a presentation of genuine professionalism, and he remains a true inspiration.
Bruce Springsteen: PASSION! The written word is his slave as he can dictate its direction and present it in a way no other could ever imagine. I've never seen him not provide all he possibly can, his regiment of performance is simply without peer. Scott Walker: He to me, is beyond the written word, I stand in awe of his every musical motion, his works from The Walkers to the present, remain light years ahead of all else, I've been more than influenced by this 'gentleman', I've been 'branded', and to be amongst those who equally find solace in his 'Genius', I am graciously honoured.
There are others: The Beatles, Brian Wilson, Bobby Darin, Johnnie Ray, Kate Bush, John Barry,David Bowie, Nick Cave, The Divine Comedy, Goldfrapp, Jarvis Cocker, Morrissey, Marc Almond, Camera Obscura & Charlotte Hatherley.
Essential Album: Pet Sounds-The Beach Boys (1966)
Essential song: Such is the mystery-Cliff Richard (1976)
Essential year in music: 1966 (what was, is and will be)
Essential film: When Harry Met Sally (all the elements)
Essential Music Zine: Mojo
Essential Radio: 6 Music and BBC 2
Essential Reading: 'Please Kill Me' (Legs McNeil)
Without whom: Bobby Vee
Shared stages with: The Long Blondes, The Pipettes, Holly Golightly, Monster Bobby, The Woggles, The Solar Flares, Gwenno, Theoretical Girl
Role Model: Mark Thackery ('Sir')
Aspirations: To enlighten those who cower from life's obstacles, and find my 'Chelseas' forever strolling the pavement which blankets the soil of the United Kingdom.
Self analysis: my songs are written for those who walk amongst the shadows fearing not truth, but deception. I'd rather explore the depths of despair and conqueor, than accept a fate assumed rather than challenged.
Credo: "The greatest rewards are those which are hardest to achieve"-'The Duke of Dark'
Oh yeah, Drugs?, don't bother, music's the high (if not, you're doing something wrong!).
