Roxy Cox was born in Aspen, Colorado. Her father, Christopher Caldwell Cox was a musician and her mother, Judith Churchill Haas is an artist.

Roxy began singing on the stage with her father and various musicians when she was a young child. In her early teens she performed regularly with Chris and a group of young musicians. Chris mentored these young people and they became well known in the community of Aspen.

During her years of performing and playing, Roxy had the opportunity to perform with many musicians who visited and lived in the area including Blues Traveler, Merl Saunders, Derek Trucks, Maceo Parker, John Denver and Buddy Miles.

In 1998 Roxy moved to New York City. She formed a band called Lick, a heavy rock band that played in venues around New York City and toured the east coast for five years. They recorded two albums in 2000 and 2002.

She began a solo career in 2004. Accompanying herself on guitar, she continued to build a following in the New York area until 2007, after which she moved to Switzerland where she wrote and recorded a new solo Album. She performed in Switzerland, Italy and Holland.

During the past two years she has continued to perform in NYC and Hawaii (where she ran the music venue for Higher Ground on the island of Oahu).

Roxy is now living in Telluride, Colorado. Her music is often compared to a cross between Melissa Etheridge, Tracy Chapman and Janis Joplin. She continues to play and perform her songs throughout the United States.
