Rocket Queen is a five piece rock & roll band, who's music reminds you of the good old days when it was all about bluesy licks, chunky riffs and a rhythm section to make your heart pound. The best part is they're all Woman.
The heart of Rocket Queen are Freeland sisters Clea, Ailie & Fleur - three Melbourne girls raised on a heady diet of rock n' roll. With vocals smooth, dynamic and strong, Clea's melodies perfectly complement the driving force that rhythm section Fleur and Ailie create on bass and drums. Completing the lineup, are Jacqui Lyttle and Elisa Morrison on guitars. With Jacqui's raw, moody playing and stage presence contrasting Elisa's wailing, riff driven style, Rocket Queen are a force to be reckoned with.
Having strutted and rocked their way in high-heeled abandon across the stages of many of Melbourne's prime venues including: Ding Dong, Revolver, The Evelyn, Espy and Cherry, with the likes of Dallas Crane, Hell City Glamours, Electric Mary, Rock City Riff Raff and more.this band is sexy and loud, with enough energy to tear the roof off any gig.
They also contributed their vocal presence to Jet's latest album Shaka Rock and will return to the studio soon to record new tracks of their own. So stay tuned for a bigger, bolder sounding 5 piece Rocket Queen to come.
