Chicago born and bred, Robert started playing his father's beat up Regal guitar when he was very young. Officially, he started playing when he was about 12 or 13 and thought it would help get some girlfriends.
Robert spent most of the 80's just jamming with friends and rocking his acoustic. He also spent many a night in the city at the various blues clubs seeing all the great talent of the era. Buddy, Lonnie, Son, Koko and many others. He also spent part of the decade traveling to Rockford to play in a local favorite folk rock band.
Inspired by the good times and great memories of all nighters in the blues clubs, Robert put all his energy into the blues. By the end of the late 80's he went full force in the Chicago blues scene. Jamming with a host of talent Robert mentions several good memories of the 90's and early 2000's blues scene. Playing at Buddy Guy's and opening for Eddie Clearwater are two of his fond memories.
Robert spent fifteen years playing on the scene before settling down and starting a family. During those fifteen years he wrote and recorded over 100 songs. He released two cds on Itunes and a few singles. He has two more cds on the way. He was on the college blues radio charts - top ten - in 2005 with such luminaries and Stevie Ray Vaughan and Muddy Waters. He played over 1,500 gigs around the country.
Currently, he's settled in the suburbs of Chicago and occasionally stops out at the local jams to let loose. He is not currently gigging. He is also a full-time guitar teacher with upwards of around 35 students. www.DupageGuitarLessons.com
