Roxane

I grew up in melbourne, but after almost six years in sydney i'm feeling like a local. I moved to sydney in 2001 - to follow my dreams and pursue my music career - whatever that meant. In my time here in sydney i have been lucky enough to work and play with some amazing people. In 2001, i started working with the Rockmelons and a year later they released their last album with 4 songs that i had co-written. One of the songs "I Aint Playing" was released as a single and all of a sudden i had my first cd and film clip out!!



Sydney's gig scene was kind enough to take me in and there i found my closest friends (and a few randoms). i have performed at venues such as The Golden Sheaf, Establishment, CBD, Tank, The Civic, Diamond, and Lotel.



I've also been up on stage with some great people - Roachford, Rahsaan Patterson, Mahalia Barnes, Jimmy Barnes, Jade Macrae, Guy Sebastian & Disco montego - just to name a few. I guess the best thing about being in sydney is that i've managed to surround myself with a lot of talented people.



I have also taken part in the whole Australian Idol Show. Yes folks! My name is Roxane Lebrasse, and i'm an Idol! Finished up at 9th place which gained me some good tv experience and a whole lot of fans under the age of 13 (I love you guys!!!) Idol taught me a lot about the music industry in australia and the best thing about it is the recognition. I'm doing the same thing now as i was years ago only now, people know who i am.



These days i'm signed to Universal Music. I write music, perform with local bands such as soul nights, brown sugar, suite az, 4th down, The Naked News etc and teach singing whenever i can.



I also had a song come out with Ministry Of Sound (Keep it Right There) which i co-wrote with Tony Vass from Ultraphonic. My lastest single "Sexy" is out now on radio and IN STORES NOW!!! or GET IT ON ITUNES!!. CHECK OUT THE FILM CLIP BELOW!!



On the Fashion front, i am currently the SUPRE STYLE ROCKS AMBASSADOR and will be doing lots of promo with supre for my single.



Oh and of course i am currently recording an rnb album for myself which i hope y'all get a chance to hear real soonxx
