MTV Base & RWD Mag 'About2Blow' - Riz MC

"Makes Eminem sound like Lil' Bow Wow.relishes defying type.a verbal sociologist who gets down at drum 'n' bass parties while formulating broad social critiquesNo MC on the planet can claim a résumé to rival Riz's" TimeOut Chicago

"amazing talent, tons of wit, and impossible integrity" Entertainment Weekly
"consolidating his position as one of the UK's brightest talents" The Guardian

Riz MC's 2006 debut single 'The Post 9/11 Blues' created waves of controversy across TV, radio and newsprint. Since then he has been championed by BBC Radio1 (on the Introducing stage at Glastonbury, the Electric Proms, and a Maida Vale session with the Ting Tings). He has toured the USA with Laura Marling and The Pigeon Detectives, played shows from Fabric to the Royal Festival Hall with the likes of Massive Attack, Nitin Sawhney, Dizzee Rascal, and Mos Def.
In 2009 he signed a two singles record deal for 'Radar' and 'People Like People' with global dance innovators Crosstown Rebels, topping the dubstep charts on Beatport and garnering widespread critical acclaim.
As an actor his credits include the multi award winning 'Road to Guantanamo', BAFTA nominated 'Dead Set', and the BAFTA winning and Emmy nominated 'Britz'. He was also nominated for Best Actor at the 2008 BIFA Awards and won the same award at the Geneva Film Festival for his performance in the title role in BAFTA Nominated British feature 'Shifty'. Recent appearances include Sally Potter's 'RAGE' alongside Jude Law and Judy Dench, 'Centurion' with Michael Fassbender and Dominic West - and the lead role in Chris Morris' eagerly anticipated Four Lions.
His debut album MICroscope, out in 2010, will set him apart as an original voice with a bold musical vision. The album is accompanied by a short film, interactive web game, and a groundbreaking live show also called MICroscope.
