RISERVA: a new metropolis, in which everyone can stay. Free entry and a melting pot of faces, races, cultures. Respect and brotherhood.
MOAC: a dreamed way of life more than a sound. The reduction of distances and the approach of the people. Molise, Oriente, Africa, Cuba.lands to say that music is capable to make populations nearer.
When youre young and living in a small town, far away from the big cities
with all their excitements and adventures, their promises and temptations, you
might feel a little cramped from time to time. Usually there are two ways to
cope with that feeling. Either you put up with it and live your life like everyone
else, or you try to escape. But what if you are to homebound to leave and to
free-minded to integrate yourself in the old, muggy structures? Then your only
chance lives in your fantasy. Riserva Moac chose that way.
The six-man-and-one-girl Global-Beat group has its origins in Bojano,
a small town in the rural area of Molise in the middle of Italy.
Not much to do there for young folks, so front-man Fabrizio, front-woman
Maya and all the others invented a parallel world in their fantasies, a
reservation, thats dedicated completely to their music and their picture of a
free, creative and humane live. They called it “Riserva Moac”.
Riserva Moac: a new global town, that unites all faces, races, cultures.
Respect and tolerance, balkan folk rock, world celtic gypsy
atmospheres.
MOAC: a life style dream, no distances left to run and people
meeting. The band proposal is a great meeting between tradition and
contemporary music with a particular mix of acoustic, traditional and popular
instruments, modern and electronic sounds. All this started from typical
instruments and from Molise's language.
Zampogna in fact is a typical instrument of Molise and centre-meriodional of
Italy: It's somethig like big pipe, with three pipes and the possibilty to make
chords and not only melodies. Ciaramella is the particular flute that is always
used to accompany zampogna in the Molise's pastoral history. From here the
travel through world's sounds starts: old tones like accordion, gaita, whistle,
zurna and xaphone with modern sounds like saxophone, drums, bass, electric
and acoustic guitars.
All “Riservisti” are educated, professional musicians and they all have a special
passion for instruments and musical styles from all over the world and
especially from Italy. The musicians exceptional talent makes the whole thing
round, from the first note you 'll hear the bands highly differentiated and
individual style. The riffs and melodies are catchy as can be, no matter if a
medieval flute, an accordion, an electric guitar or even all together are
involved.

of the several concerts made by the band.
Due to a lot of concerts and to a big collection of awards, Riserva Moac is now
one of the most important italian music bands. "Bienvenido", the first album of
the band, was born on summer 2005. This album attained 10000 copies and
needed of a second edition. On autumn 2007 arised a new single titled "Il
Riservista". On June the second album titled "La Musica dei Popoli" was
generated. Published by Universal Music Italia and by Galileo-MC for Europe.
Music for one world, that's the program behind Riserva Moac's music and that's
what the title of their new record “La Musica dei Popoli” really means. In their
lyrics Fabrizio and Maya talk about tolerance between different cultures but
pick up some new and old problems of their homeland as well. To achieve such
high aims it takes creativity, flexibility, musicality and radicalness.
Riserva Moac have it all. Riserva Moac think of theirselves as a dancing band,
because through the dance they can connect with people. Quite important for a
band with a message like this. Therefore most of the tracks on “La Musica dei
Popoli“ are an invitation to get crazy on the dancefloor. There are a lot of
surprises hidden in the record, the spectrum of musical styles and
arrangements let you staggered sometimes. Youll even forget where in the
world you exactly are. Borders don't belong to Riserva Moac. Welcome on a
neverending adventure!

BENVENUTI NELLA RISERVA MOAC!
RISERVA: una nuova metropoli globale, in cui ognuno può restare. Ingresso libero e un melting pot di facce, razze, culture. Rispetto e fratellanza
MOAC: il sogno di uno stile di vita, più ch un sound. La riduzione delle distanze e l’avvicinarsi dei popoli. Molise Oriente Africa Cuba…terre per dire che la musica è capace di rendere i popoli più vicini.
Senza confini e recinzioni, la Riserva Moac è una città nomade fondata nel 2003 da sette musicisti di Bojano, in Molise. Da quella data la nuova città non ha smesso mai di crescere e andare in giro per il mondo, alla ricerca di sempre nuovi abitanti e sempre nuovi tipi di musica, strumenti, linguaggi, culture…con il grande obiettivo di raggiungere il Moac, la perfetta conoscenza del mondo e del genere umano nelle sue meravigliose differenze.
Il TFF08 a Rudolstadt (DE) , il I° Maggio a Roma (800.000 persone)…Festival Interceltique de Lorient…FIMU 2006, nella città di Belfort (FR)…la Biennale dei giovani artisti di Europa e Mediterraneo…un tour negli USA, a Boston, New York, Springfield MA…questi sono solo alcuni dei numerosi passi del viaggio della Risrva Moac.
La band propone un incontro ottimale tra tradizione e musica contemporanea, con un mix particolare di strumenti acustici tradizionali e popolari da varie parti del mondo, e di suoni moderni ed elettronici. Tutto partendo dagli strumenti tipici e dal linguaggio del Molise. La Zampogna infatti è uno strumento tipico della regione e dell’Italia centro-meridionale: qualcosa come una cornamusa, ma con tre canne e la possibilità di suonare accordi, non solo melodie. La ciaramella è il flauto particolare che sempre accompagnava la zampogna nella storia pastorale del Molise Da qui parte un viaggio nei suoni del mondo, antichi come fisarmonica, gaita, whistle, zurna e xaphone e moderni come sassofoni, batteria, basso, chitarre elettriche e acustiche, suoni elettronici, tecnologia.
L’obiettivo di arrangiamenti particolari si unisce alla necessità di conquistare l’ascoltatore, integrando suoni e linguaggi. Il risultato è un’unione tra testi profondi, impegnati e mai banali, comunicati con l’alternanza delle voci maschile e femminile, e un suono fatto di profusione di energia, cuore e sudore.
Un sound Global Beat in un’atmosfera di passione condivisa.
Grazie a un grande numero di concerti, e ad una notevole collezione di premi, la Riserva Moac è ora una delle band più importanti nella scena musicale italiana. “Bienvenido”, il primo disco del gruppo e un invito ad abitare nella nuova città, vide la luce nell’estate del 2005. Dopo un anno il cd era praticamente sold out e, necessitando di una seconda edizione, raggiunse le circa 10.000 copie vendute. Poi, nell’autunno del 2007 un nuovo singolo della Riserva Moac chiamato “Il Riservista” cominciò a girare nelle radio e fu l’inizio di un nuovo tour e nuove esperienze europee come il TFF di Rudolstadt, nel quale la Riserva fu uno dei gruppi più apprezzati.
Finalmente, nel Giugno del 2009, esce il secondo album chiamato “La Musica dei Popoli”.
Il Global Beat diventa un suono compatto, più forte di prima e la fusione di stili, strumenti e linguaggi è più potente e profonda.
Con questo secondo album, e dopo l’avventura tedesca di Rudolstadt, la Riserva comincia ad essere apprezzata anche in Germania e consolida la sua posizione in Europa firmando un contratto con LaViola e Galileo-MC, rispettivamente agenzia di booking e label/distribuzione.
“La Musica dei Popoli” attraversa le Alpi ed è già disponibile anche nei negozi tedeschi.
E presto si comincia a suonare in Germania, in un tour fino a Ottobre, che tocca città come Norimberga, Amburgo, Lipsia ed altre, in aggiunta ai molti concerti previsti normalmente in Italia.
I confini non appartengono alla Riserva Moac! E il viaggio non finisce mai…
