Joey and Elgin of the Boston hardcore band Righteous Jams share some words of wisdom on being straight edge.

*A sidenote about shooting this - sorry the video quality is so poor. Shooting this was great because I came to the show only planning on getting some footage of kids throwing down, which didn't turn out too well. But I suddenly saw Joey hanging out after the show and asked him if he'd be willing do an interview (totally expecting to be rejected), he dropped everything, grabbed Elgin, and came outside with me. Gotta say it, really cool guys. Anyway, having never filmed an interview before and being completely caught off guard, i basically stopped thinking and just filmed it behind the venue where there's hardly any light and holding the camera by my waist while talking to them. I suppose THE POINT is that I had a lot of fun and learned a lot shooting this lil' guy. For example: there's not a lot of light outside at night. And don't mess up your audio by speaking over your interview subjects. And that Righteous Jams is hardcore as all get out.

Seriously, have you seen Elgin on Boston Beatdown? My goodness, he was such a nice dude to me but he has NO qualms about wailing on those who disrespect him. I guess I'm lucky.
