This first "From the Heart Music Hour" TV show was taped at the beautiful and historic Monticello Opera House and was produced by Rick Ott and Nelle McCall, From the Heart Recording Studio, Sopchoppy, Florida. Rick and Nelle have been staunch advocates and supporters of local musicians and songwriters for many years.

The show was taped before a live sold-out audience over 2 days and featured singer/songwriters, trios, and bands. All performers were from the Greater Sopchoppy-Tallahassee- Monticello, Florida area and represented diverse musical genres' from folk and Americana to pop and rock.

The show aired in April 2010 on WFSU and WGUS PBS TV and featured, in alphabetical order, Brett Kelly, Caitlin Nicole Eadie, Carrie Hamby, Coon Bottom Creek, Danny Simones, Ernest Toole, Grant Peeples, Mayhaws, Mimi and the Hearndogs, Morty Beckman, Purvis Borthers, Ralph Pellietier, Rick Ott Band (featuring Stan Gramling and Dom Lausic), Ron Patrick, Tommy Curry, Tracy Perez, and Trafton Harvey.

Speaking for myself, and all the other performers I am sure, much appreciation is felt by all to the Monticello Opera House Foundation, Barry Kelly of Monticello, Florida, the many sponsors, and especially Rick and Nelle for their untiring effort, energy, and passion for music, especially local music, that brought so much talent and resources together to produce the first "From the Heart Music Hour TV Show".

A second "From the Heart Music Hour" will be taped in November 2010 for airing in the fall on the ABC television network.
