David Stanoch has performed globally with a highly eclectic array of talent including Hiram Bullock, Sheryl Crow, Richard Davis, Herb Ellis, Robert Goulet, Col. Locally he juggles live and studio freelance work with regular duties for several bands including the progressive trio TRIPLICATE, described by DRUM! Magazine as being "so good that it's intimidating."
David has also studied with master drummers Max Roach, Alan Dawson, Elliot Fine, Jeff Hamilton, Ignacio Berroa, and Chad Wackerman
An active educator, David has been a faculty member of the McNally Smith College of Music since 1990, and co-authored their percussion curriculum. He is a contributing author to MODERN DRUMMER magazine
David was a featured clinician in 2010 at the KoSA Winnipeg Drumtalk Festival and the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC)
In 2008, David published his first method book, MASTERING THE TABLES OF TIME, VOL. I, to instant critical acclaim. In 2009, the book was voted first-place winner for Best Method Book in the 2009 MODERN DRUMMER READERS POLL and is now distributed worldwide by Alfred Music Publishing. Purchase this book HERE.
Since 1999, David has co-produced several critically acclaimed CD's on his own Rhythmelodic Records label.
David endorses Yamaha Drums, Paiste Cymbals, Vic Firth Drumsticks, Hansenfutz Pedals and is a member of the Percussive Arts Society, The Hudson Music Teacher Integration Program and the Drummer Cafe.
