Yamaha Performing Artist Rex Richardson has become one of the busiest crossover trumpet virtuosos on the international scene. His touring in both classical and jazz genres has taken him to nearly every corner of the globe. As Rex Richardson's talents are regularly reviewed as among the finest in the world, Rex frequently has engagements for performances, workshops, masterclasses, and clinics in almost any given country at almost any given time.

Rex is Professor of Trumpet and Jazz Trumpet at Virgiinia Commonwealth University in Richmond and Artist-in-Residence at London's Trinity College of Music. He has been a Yamaha Performing Artist since 1995 and is on the Summit record label. In recent years he has become one of the world's busiest crossover trumpet artists.



Past Highlight: Rex Richardson used to tour regularly as part of the late jazz legend Joe Henderson's Quintet, as well as in Europe with William Russo's Chicago Jazz Ensemble.
