Jim "Reverend Horton" Heath

(Guitar, Vocals):

Over the past fifteen years Reverend Horton

Heat have established themselves as one of

the hardest touring bands with one of the

best live shows ever to hit the road. And

with almost 200 performances every year

from coast to coast, it is no wonder. As the

band's front-man, Jim Heath preaches his

punkabilly gospel with slicked back hair,

flame-tipped suits, gritty voice, and amazing

guitar picking. But what to do when you are

back at home in Big-D taking a break from

touring and still have the itch to get out and

play? Well, you call up some local Dallas

musicians and start a side project. Thus the

birth of Reverend Organ Drum, the side

project that sounds more like a main

project, plus a chance for The Rev to have

some fun. These shows are a great

opportunity to see The Rev up close and

personal, you can even chat with him during

the breaks to find out just how he does that

"secret" guitar lick.

Tim Alexander

(Hammond Organ):

Tim Alexander won five Grammy Awards

(Best Country Instrumental Performance

1987, 1988, 1993, 1995, and Best Country

Performance by Duo or Group with Vocal

1994) while with western swing legends

Asleep At The Wheel from 1984 through

1996. Tim has also been a long time friend

of Jim's and has performed on several

Reverend Horton Heat albums including

Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em, Liquor In The

Front, Space Heater, Martini Time, Revival,

and the 2005 Christmas album We Three

Kings. Besides touring with his current

band, the roadhouse rockin' Elvis T. Busboy

& The Blues Butchers, Tim is also an in

demand studio musician in the DFW area.

Watching Tim play the Hammond organ is

like seeing two musicians in one. While

watching him pound out bass lines with his

left hand, all the while playing melody,

harmony, and soloing with his right, you

begin to understand just exactly why he has

so many Grammys.

Todd Soesbe

(Drums):

Sometimes being in a band is like real

estate, it's all about "Location, Location,

Location!". When Jim and Tim were looking

for a drummer to round out their trio, they

had to look no further than Jim's own next

door neighbor Todd Soesbe. With a

background in Jazz (schooled in the streets

of Worcester, Massachusetts), playing

arranged tunes, trading fours, and taking

solos is right up his alley. He also

sometimes just likes to lay down the groove

and let Jim and Tim do their thing. With an

ever present grin while he plays, some

people have said that he is the happiest

drummer they have ever seen. But hey, if

you were up on stage with Jim and Tim

you'd probably smile too.
