Replicator RIP 2000-2008



Straddling the fine line between technical precision and reckless abandon, social commentary and smartass revelry, Replicator endeavoured to bring something unique and worthwhile to the overall culture of this independent music thing while somehow managing to overcome the signal to noise ratio of vapid defanged post punk disco retreads and the latest astroturf garage band fad with the marketing dollars of the cool hunting multinational corporations.



Performance based full contact noisy styled rock.

Replicator hail from Oakland, California, in the San Francisco bay area.



Somehow our heroes managed to evade the bill collectors and soul crushing scum of the earth to get out and about and play harsh dissonant music in front of crowds of mostly disinterested, confused and/or inebriated people. Why do they do such a thing? It's all for the kids, baby. or perhaps for the women of loose morals and low self esteem, or because there's some kind of biological imperative for it or something. Call it an evolutionary deadend if you will.
