The Story of Repel

Repel has been studied and researched by scientists for at least 2 months now. It is a rare epidemic that is sweeping the nation, causing people to either:

A.) bust a move

B.) get in the groove

C.) shoot down "the man

However, the real story of Repel has only recently been revealed by the members of the All*Star group.

Months before even considering becoming rock gods, Repel's initial inspiration came from a magical life experience.

Cue flashback!

So there Repel was, cruising down Camp Road when all of a sudden, this massive dork comes flying past our ride in a little red sportscar with a "thmbzup" vanity plate. The then wide-eyed youths had not realized that a drastically life-altering event had just occurred.

End Flashback!

The inspiration had shown its face and now all it took was the dedication of its monumental members.

And so, as a last hurrah before the men went away to their freshman year of college, they poured themselves into creating Thumbz Up. Although the real account has been lost to the ages, historians contend that the recording and mixing of Thumbz Up took Repel anywhere between 14 hours and 40 days.

Repel's 2nd song, Dinosaur, was recorded over Thanksgiving Break 2k4 and brought with it the addition of Daddy Long Legs (Brian R) to Repel's hallowed ranks. However, Dinosaur was not all "Starburst: Peaches and Cream." Lil' Q chose to not work on Dinosaur because apparently he was "too tired" and "wanted to go to bed." His voice was still sampled for the traditional opener.

During Christmas Break 2k4, Repel decided to spin off into a new creative direction: writing actual music and using musical instruments. With the introduction of actual instruments like the electronic drum set, the idea for an R&B Repel song was born. Because of Lil' Q's departure on the last song, Repel wanted to pay homage to the natural born artist in the runaway hit song The Ballad of Lil' Q.

Over Christmas Break 2k5, Repel managed to slam out a whopping *two* songs, the long awaited Repel Goes Latin! and the timeless Repel on Eileen.

Then Repel got bored and decided they would update the rest of this later.
