What a gift it is, to be able to play music. We should all embrace the gifts that are given to us, accept them for what they are, and use them to bring people together. How could we not?

- Rene

A self taught musician, Rene Reyes embodies raw talent at its best. Taking on the drums at the tender age of four, he found his true calling for the guitar at the age of twelve. Since then, his devotion and intensity to produce high-quality music has grown into a phenomenon of its own.

Born in a small town in Texas, Rene was struck with a love for the stylistic sounds of Eric Clapton, Eddie Van Halen, The Edge, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Upon his high school graduation, Rene felt there was more to life than what he found in his home town. Packing a bag and his guitar, Rene moved west to Los Angeles and quickly co-founded the band Act of Faith. With a rapid growth in fan base, Act of Faith was soon playing at renowned Hollywood hot spots, such as The Whiskey, Roxy, and The Viper Room.

Renes ability to blend the rock and roll traditional elements with soulful blues, and latin music, catapulted Act of Faith to move forward in television and film soundtrack production. Most notably, Act of Faith, now known as Green Car Motel, added their musical abilities to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Price of Glory, Saving Silverman, Black Scorpion, Blind Horizon, Domino and Oscar Nominated Collateral, and most recently Seven Pounds.

While lending his talents to Kataphonic recording artist, Katrina Carlson, Rene Reyes incorporated his distinct musical style to the bands existent evolved pop sound. The result was the success of four charting singles on Billboard and R&R charts. In musical collaborations, Rene Reyes joined Michael McDermotts band and toured the U.S with the release of his Michaels CD, Ashes. Catching the attention of music, television and cinema producers, Rene was asked and co-wrote music for Dawnsons Creek and Buffoon.

Rene has also toured with the wonderful artist Ruby James. They found themselves on a year and a half long tour, and in that time, co-wrote, and recorded Desert Rose. Rene says, "This is truly a special cd.it has all that you need." You can now hear the track Everything Good Goes Away in the movie The Women, and also on it's soundtrack.

Having worked with producer Michael Schroeder, Rene Reyes continues to unveil a mastery in musicianship while producing a soundtrack compilation for the upcoming film, Man in the Chair.

With all this and more, Rene continues to work on his own personal development as a musician.
