Founded in 2001, Remarkable Current has toured the world working with hundreds of gifted artists, and releasing over 12 full-length albums. The artist collective has grown from a group of friend's recording in a basement to a world-wide collaboration of writers and musicians who share the same goal: uplifting humanity through art! As the artists grow in mind and spirit, as time passes and the era evolves, so too does the art of Remarkable Current.
REMARKABLE CURRENT VENTURES . . .
Once again, the Remarkable Current Musician Collective finds itself breaking the rules within an industry caught stumbling to re-imagine itself. The album, as a concept, is a thing of the past . . says the mind of RC's founder director, Anas Canon:
"We now embark on Remarkable Current Ventures, or RCV's, with our artists. RCV's do not limit the scope or scale of any inspired artistic project. Baraka Blue may decide to create a hip hopera that is 4 hours long while The KAJ may shoot a 3 minute short film about the societal impact of Chuck Berry's musical revolution in the 1950's . . . both worthy endeavors to share with fans world-wide."

The primary focus of this pioneering creative process is two-fold . . . market penetration that leads to cultural development. It is our steadfast belief at the Remarkable Current Collective that creativity has no rules and the market place no limits. DJ ANAS CANON . . . is artistic director and executive producer for the independent record label Remarkable Current, which he founded in 2001. His body of work, as well as his knowledge and expertise in sound, production and engineering have taken him around the globe and have been his professional and creative outlet for many years. Currently he focuses his creative energy on fusing several different genres of music in an attempt to bring awareness and diversity back to art.
