REHASET

Rehaset is a Saudi-born Ethiopian who grew into being an independent musical artist out of necessity. Her mission: to bridge the gap between Afrikans and the World!
Her campaign officially began in Atlanta, Georgia in September 2003 where she closed the Ethiopian New Year's Concert with world renowned artist Tewdros Tadesse. Two years later, Rehaset released a self-produced underground mixtape called The Dream Chaser which captured the attention of her peers and producers. Since then she's been creating and performing in a multiplicity of venues, and has kept the integrity of her mission by lending her voice and activism to various creative and conscious community causes. Included in her variety of performance events are: the Miss Ethiopia National Competition-Houston, a Katrina Benefit at Suffolk Community College-New York, at Hollywood Park Casino-Los Angeles, African Expo at the Georgia World Congress Centre-Atlanta, and opening for Malcolm Jamal-Warner during the Urban Network Entertainment Marketing Summit-Newport Beach.
Rehaset has also produced events which showcase other artists, played as back-up musician, hosted events in the local Atlanta scene, and worked with one of Miami's biggest street marketing teams, Tha Union Entertainment in South Beach.
She now works mainly as musician, composer, and is developing a roster of experience as sound designer for theatre projects like the world premier of Wise.Woman by Rebecca Fisseha (b current), All Of Him by Tanya Pillay (in between), and the 2010 Canadian premiere production of Radiance by Louis Nowra (b current).
With an interest and affinity for filmmaking she is seeking experience and collaborations such as her recent work as composer and PA on Nicole Brooks' Ase and Orisha Suite (API).
Rehaset is currently busy developing the Afro Underground album, an international collaboration between U.S. and Canadian artists, to be for released soon!
