In September of 2000, "Red Clay " was featured in "The Source" magazine's "Unsigned Hype" column, which led to recording the pilot episode for the television show "The Source Sound Lab" on The UPN Network. By 2003, Red Clay released their debut album entitled "Da Royal Era", a compilation which was received with great reviews from various publications and websites. "Da Royal Era" has sold over 3,000 units+ independently. Other compilations & mixtapes include, The Red Dawn-New Sun Rise Vol.1 + 2.

Red Clay has also performed in Universities and Colleges all across the northeastern region (Rutgers, Skidmore, Wheaton, Purchase, Pace) along side New York City hot spots such as The Knitting Factory, CBGB's and S.O.B's. Their energetic live shows have allowed them to gain recognition leading them to perform with the likes of Dead Prez, Common, Talib Kweli, & Three Six Mafia. With many styles that reinforce Hip Hop culture, Red Clay has also helped organize Hip Hop events with colleges and local promoters, as well as working with The G.rassroots A.rtist M.ovemEnt (G.A.ME) in working to promote the importance of healthcare for artists of all kind.

Now the opportunity has arrived to bring their music directly to the masses and across the globe. Rawkus Records has digitally re-released The Red Dawn as part of The Rawkus 50, a who’s who of the hottest emerging artists in Hip Hop today. In addition, Red Clay will be releasing an EP entitled, Cold Summer.
