Everything started back in june of 2005. pookie and alex were "kinda-sorta" jamming. pookie on bass, alex on drums. nothing too organized, nothing too official. at the time we were figuring out a name. my mother kept asking me why i hung out with these creepy people, and saying all my friends are creeps, and blah blah blah. i argued back that we're not really "CREEPS", we have good intentions. we maybe used to be creeps, but now we're recovering. my mom told me that a recovering creep is still a creep (i know now how true this statement is!!!). the name stuck. "RECOVERING CREEPS" is who we are.

as of right now we are not playing shows, becasue ther is no "we" there is only me

alex "murda"gries moved to prescott to get away from drugs and alcohol.

matt "y'all want some cheeseburgers" bones has been in rehab and nobody's heard anything from him for over a year.

andy "big bottoms" thompson has been linked to such bands as contradiktion, but is currently working and getting drunk (the last i heard).

kurt "jimi thrilla" porter moved to colorado to go balls deep in AA.

mike "do ya think i'm sexy" beck is playing shows with his band viva colective (the last time i heard)

brandon "screw you guys i'm going home" cadrette finished up EMT training so he can save all your asses when you OD.

grifter- current whereabouts unknown.

pookie "my name is ian but my friends call me pookie" capone was last seen on a crew of migrant cotton pickers approximately 60 miles west of phoenix.

i wanna give a big thanks to everyone whos been to any of our shows. thank you for dancing, moshing. or even for just standing there, bouncing your head. thanks to all the bands we've played with. (if we were drunk and pissed you off, i'm sorry, we didn't mean no harm, we're just trying to have fun the way we like to.) thanks to the cities of tucson and flagstaff, you always give us tons of love when we're visiting. thanks to ELOY for putting on a REAL punk rock show, thanks to adam, ryan and donald for recording our songs that we have on hand. thanks to SKAT zine (RIP) for giving us the only interview we've ever had, and promoting local music.

[pookie] October 2009
