Founded in january 2007, the band started performing right away, particularly in local clubs like Fenix (Sittard) and festivals like the School of Rock Festival with El Guapo Stuntteam. Later on they had gigs at Studio 80 (Amsterdam), De Bosuil (Weert) w/ Très.b; Strijp S (Eindhoven) w/ Pitch Blond; Nieuwe Nor (Heerlen) w/ Infa; WesSummerbreeze Festival w/ DeWolff and Big Blind; Bruisfestival (Maastricht) w/ Mintzkov and Goose.



Coming from the south of the Netherlands, the band shares musical influences by the Band of Gypsys, Led Zeppelin, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Kyuss, Colour Haze, Cream, Qotsa, Fu Manchu, The Hellacopters, CCR, Black Sabbath, and more



Reckless Pilots won the 3rd price in the bandcontest 'Nu of Nooit'. At the end of february 2008, they released their first full-length album: "Temerity Noise Takeover". New EP 'Parachutes' was recorded in the summer of 2008, samples can be heared here on myspace.
