Jarmone, Cliff & Scott are Radically Encouraged About Life. Their name explains how they feel about the life they have found in Christ and the honesty in which they want to share their stories. All three come from musical families, Cliff's from Detroit and Jarmone & Scott's residing in Washington, D.C. "We're young, so we sing the urban music that we love and write about our personal experiences. Just so happens that we have had life changing experiences with Jesus Christ" they explain.

R.E.A.L. was the vision Bob 'Big Bob' Terry, who with his partner Capt'n Curt makes up the multi-platinum production team, the Star Makers. "I had a vision of a gospel group with the vocal ability & soul of the Winans mixed with the marketability & energy of JODECI & New Edition" says Big Bob. "I've been on the road with some of the greatest artist in both R&B and gospel, so I know what it means to prepare to be and become a complete artist."

We've all had the opportunity and have the ability to be strong solo artist, but we realize that there's strength in numbers" says Cliff. Ecclesiastes 4:12 says, "One standing alone can be defeated, but two can stand together and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken." Each member has a distinct voice and brings a different strength to the R.E.A.L. sound. While Cliff has the unbelievable gospel range, Scott is the old school soul crooner, and Jarmone brings the modern R&B flava. Together, they continue in the legacy of great groups like the Commissioned, the Clark Sisters, Boys II Men & New Edition. Scott adds, "We're not as interested in being rich and famous, though that would be nice, as we are with pointing a lost generation to the one whom has proven to be our Saviour! We do know that in order to reach the masses, we need to be excellent in everything that we do. I'm talking about singing, performance & ministry." R.E.A.L. wants to use their music to tell their own generation that they can do anything with God's help. "We want to encourage them to do rock & roll, rap, urban, any type of music or anything, as long as it is positive."

Their real and transparent mindset is reflected in their music. "R.E.A.L. ROCK, is the groups "theme song." The infectious hook and vamp encourages its listeners to "Rock On" in every positive thing that they do. On the lead single "Everything", the group declares their discovery that Christ is the solution for every one of life's problems. Being true to being real, songs like "Proverbs" and "Wait" deal with relationships and premarital sex. The self-titled debut is rounded out with strong cuts that visit everything from depression & suicide to joy & triumph. R.E.A.L.'s music & performance stands alongside Usher, Omarion, Chris Brown & Neyo.
