"The Brownstars(now are called,REAGAN ERA), 5-song CD demo (self-released)

Those few of you who caught The Brownstars(now called,REAGAN ERA) at the recent Blunt Force Trauma show at The Compound got a taste of what old school was all about all those years ago. This potent quartet set up on the floor following Macho's set (ahem!) and proceeded to blast it like it was 1986 all over again. The Brownstars(now called REAGAN ERA) stomped out a barrage of originals and a number of choice covers by Sick Pleasure (Houston), Negative Approach (!) and The Offenders. I landed a demo from a Brownstar but fear not -- intrepid HC fanatic -- you can hear all of the tracks on it on their Myspace page. On the demo, you've got four boss originals (or obscure covers): "Bankruptcy," "Wasted Time," "Once Again" and "Bad TV." The Brownstars(now called REAGAN ERA) -- that's Orion on vocals, Marty on bass, Rob on guitar and Pascal on drums -- also toss in a killer version of "I Hate Myself" by The Offenders for good measure. ANOTHER REVIEW:REGAN ERA , well they have achieved the sound and feel from the 80s it is refreshing to hear a band that has not

forgotten what the fuck this punk movement is all about and they are filling the sound track with the sounds from the

beginning ," DOIN ALL I CAN TO TEAR IT APART" not one of the songs but a line from "WASTED TIME" powerful and in

your face telling it like it is , it has not changed from then till now and these guys are on the edge .

songs like" BAD TV" remind me of the shows from the 80s I can almost smell the sweat and stale beer vomit at the

dark dank club . check these guys out they are the true artifact , "3 SECONDS OF PLEASURE" its almost here ! they

have almost 12 thousand friends and they will be playing with AGENT ORANGE AND TOTAL CHAOS in november out
