In New Orleans there's a saying that the men who dance a certain strut with their umbrellas at the second lines are "walking ratty". So I swing the gait with acrobatic synchronicity playing to the sharks running for governor, to the trench whores and the heroines shooting holes in the sky; I walk ratty with my babydoll looking for a good funeral for the past.
