Rates of Exchange were formed in 2001 in Moscow, in the melancholy of post-communist urban landscape. The name for the band is originally taken from Malcolm Bradbury's novel (1983) about fantastic travelling across non-existent socialist country in Eastern Europe.
All band members are not professional musicians and never claim to be. Except for Alexander, who is a brilliant bassooner and plays in a symphonic orchestra.
Our first EP, which is planned for 2008 is now in progress. Promo groups and festivals are always welcome ;)
