Di Highest Grade Tallis aka Rayon Edwards was born July 26, 1985 in Kingston 10, Jamaica, West Indies, the youngest of three siblings. His family later moved to Spainish Town, in the parish of St. Catherine where he grew up and attended Spainish Town High School. He moved to the states in 2000 and attended Springfield Gardens High School in New York. It was there that Rayon realized his music potential and his stage name Tallis was giving to him by friends. Tallis has become one of the most lyrically acclaimed unsigned raw dancehall artists in the reggae industry. With a versatile style of his own, Tallis has been honing his lyrical capabilities since his high school years. It was during that time when he battled friends lyrically for fun that he realized he could possibly have a career in music. However, it was until 2002 that he took it seriously and began producing albums under his own label Spainish Town War Shop. With three albums under his belt “Full Time” in 2004, “Who’s This” in 2005, “Di Highest Grade” in 2006 and “The Benedictus of Rayon Edwards” in 2007 and the recently released “Life Struggle” “with tracks produced by Rastallis under his production Label “HEMP Production" Rastallis is truly an immense talent. Rastallis has performed at LaGuardia College, Secrets Lounge, The Republic Night Club and Universal Resort in Brooklyn. Just to name a few, He has also done interviews for Nikki B. from the Beat Radio Show and Masapan from Stony Brook radio and Fig Tree Biz while promoting his third album; the rest is HistorySICKA SIT"N
