DJ Rascal was one of the most emblematic DJ's of his generation and one of the most successful technically in France during the years 1980 to 2000. In 1988 he became Luxembourg Champion and ViceEuropean champion next year in 1989, and then participate not less than 10 times to the DMC technical Championship French final spot for the world championships between 1987 to 2000. DJ Rascal à été l'un des DJ's les plus emblématique de sa génération et l'un des plus titré techniquement en France durant les années 1980 à 2000. En 1988 il devient Champion du Luxembourg, puis vice champion d'Europe l'année suivante en 1989, et enfin participe pas moins de 10 fois aux championnats et coupes de France technique DMC, finale Française comptant pour le championnats du monde, entre 1987 et 1999. Il à été également pionnier dans bien des domaines du djeing puisqu'il est l'inventeur du concept de boys band turntablisme (concept de scratch par équipe) en 1990 avec un 1 er show à la base militaire d'Hourtin (France) 1 an avant la 1 ère apparition de Q-Bert en 1991 dans une émission de télé US l'année suivante. L'histoire n'aura retenu que le nom de Q-bert comme inventeur de ce style, mais il n'en est rien ,et il serai temps de rendre à César ce qui est à César.
DJ Rascal à également été l'un des tous 1 er à auto-produire une mixtape Hip-Hop after & New Jack sur Cd en 1997-98, alors que jusqu'alors le format K7 était habituellement utilisé, et d'y produire un Mix after Hip-Hop de 24 mn novateur, uniquement composé de break beat, d'intros,
d'interludes et de scratchs, ce qui à permit d'apporter une ambiance unique à ce Mix pour l'époque.
Mais avant tout ce qui fait sa plus grande force est bien sa capacité à s'adapter à n'importe quel type de programmation musicale, voir d'animation, puisque ses 30 années d'expérience dans les clubs,
le Djeing, et l'animation, en font un DJ complet, capable de jouer dans n'importe quel style (House, Techno, Lounge, Chillout, Acid Jazz, Soul, Funk, Disco, Rap/Hip-Hop, R'nB, variété Française ou international, etc.) une programmation à la fois pointu, festive, avec ou sans animation micro et
techniquement irréprochable. Il serai bien trop long de tenter ici de retracer la carrière de DJ Rascal, mais si nous devions en résumer une infime partie, alors nous retiendrions certainement les centaines de shows de démonstration de scratch, concerts, animations clubs & discothèques en France, Belgique, Luxembourg, Espagne, suisse, etc.les innombrables show radio, télé, le fait d'avoir été surtout l'un des pionniers du Hip-Hop et du Djeing dès la fin des années 80, avec des DJ's comme DJ
Dee-Nasty, et d'avoir contribué à démocratiser le Hip-Hop et l'art du Djeing en France avec des Mc's comme Destroy Man et Johnny Go, Lionnel D, etc.Et de nombreux autres rappers et Mc's.
Il a été ni plus ni moins que l'un des DJ"s les plus respecté de son époque.
