This is a ‘making of the book’ film on ‘Vande Mataram: in the House, on the Records’ book, authored by Akhilesh Jha and Rashmita Jha. This book is an outcome of a long journey in which people from different parts of life have contributed.
You will see people like Santosh Mehta, Md. Ilyas and Md. Raisuddin, who are passionate about gramophone records sharing their experinces. Then..you will see Research scholar like Shri Parthpratim Chattopadhyaya from Bankim Bhawan Gaveshana Kendra of Naihati, the birthplace of Bankimchandra Chattopadhyaya clearing some doubts related to Vande Mataram song. Subrato De, a Sitarist from Vishnupur Gharana present an alaap on Vande Mataram. One can also see the a rare piece of British anthem 'God save the king' on 78rpm record playing in this film.
KS Gopinath Narayan gives you an insight of using data analytics in analyzing the debates of the Constituent Assembly and making infographics on the results.
Samiha Jha, a young prodigy has anchored the film.
The Gramophone player used in the film was personal gramophone player of the legendary singer Gauhar Jan of Calcutta.
