RANDOM IMPULSE

Championed as the innovator of an exciting, vibrant new sound set to push forward the boundaries of modern music, Jovel Walker, better known as Random Impulse is quickly becoming one of the most talked about acts by both music fans and industry alike. Backed by a drummer, bassist and secondary guitarist, Random Impulse raps his self-written songs whilst playing electric guitar, in a live show notorious for leaving his audience amazed, ecstatic and screaming for more. He has performed support slots for acts such as 3oh3, Tinchy Stryder, The Wombats, Professor Green, & Ed Sheeran, along with features in: MTV, Maxim, RWD, The Huffington Post, The Sun & BBC 2 all tipping him as the UK's 'next superstar.'
Although Random Impulse is currently working with producers such as Guy Chambers (Robbie Williams), Future Cut, (Lily Allen, Nicole Scherzinger, Kate Nash), Semothy Jones (Little Boots, Professor green/Lily Allen, Plan B) and Brian West (K'naan, Nelly Furtato) he is very much producer and writer in his own right, having written and produced for Lupe Fiasco and having songs featured in hit TV shows including HBO's Bones and CBS's NCIS: Los Angeles.
In 2008 he released 2 Grime/ Hip hop projects entitled 'Word On The Street' & 'Full Metal Alchemist' which collectively sold 16,000 units over 10 months and was released via his own independent label; Reignasance Records. It was to this label that he signed the artist Chipmunk's and released his early material, as well as engineering for acts such as Tinie Tempah and Wiley to name a few.
On the 4th of January 2011, Random Impulse released the video to his debut single 'Overload' via SBTV's Youtube channel. The video exploded with positive feedback. Surging through the internet gaining critical acclaim, the video quickly rose to being the 4th most viewed video in the UK and the 45th most viewed video in the world on Youtube. The video was also most requested video on both Flava Tv and NME television stations. The Single 'Overload was also Championed on Radio Stations BBC Radio 1, 1 Xtra, XFM & BBC Radio 6 by Dj's such as Trevor Nelson, Ally McCrae, Mista Jam, Ace & Vis, Steve Lamacq, Anne Nightingale and Dj Target.
March Marked the digital release of Random impulse's 6 track 'overload E.P'. Within the first day of its release, the E.P sored to number 5 in the Hip-hop charts and 76 in the national uk album charts on iTunes, Making him the ONLY unsigned act in the entire top 200 iTunes chart. Due to all this and an immensely strong presence, Random is now officially sponsored by beverage powerhouse Jägermiester.
The artist also has a strong presence online. He runs a popular blog that boasts an impressive 500 unique hits daily. He also has an active Youtube channel that receives 1500 a day due to his weekly 'Refix' series.
With an ever growing fan base, a nation wide tour on the way and being selected as on of the 'MOBO Associations ones to watch 2011', it seems safe to say Random Impulse is destined for big things both for this year and the many that follow.
