Born Brandi Pauline Barksdale in Jacksonville, NC and raised all over the city of Philadelphia, Barksdale has been exposed to many facets of music, including Rhythm and Blues, Country, Folk, Electronica, Hip Hop and combinations of these elements. Since youth, her passion has been writing and expression through her unique gift of song. She has experimented with Folk and soulful Blues aside from her natural Pop interest.
