Rampant Records is a UK network of talented people including Promoters, Musicians, Singers, Choreographers, Producers, DJs and a Production company. RR was founded by Rampant Richy J and Krissi B to help support and nurture talented people. We try to promote a positive public image of Urban music, away from the rough street image which many British artists adopt to follow fashion.

Why did we start this?

Rampant and Krissi started their own shizzle, because like all young people we want a piece of the cake; luxury homes, the range rovers, swimming pools… As people who have been involved in music for a decade we know how hard it is to get decent catchy tunes made and to get them on radio so we can help you start getting that PRS Money.

What the Label Does?

We cater for a world-wide crowd that love songs with soul and catchy rhythmic patterns. We specialise in UK Garage, Electro, R&B, Grime and Broken Beat House.

UK music scene.

Rampant and Krissi are concerned that UK DJs are not supporting U.K Urban music to the extent they should be. The Mainstream music scene fails to successfully encourage Urban music artists by giving them sufficient air-play time on mainstream radio. Coupled with this, CD duplication and piracy decreases sales. However, 2008 will change things. American investments are drying up so U.K. Urban music may have an opportunity at last.

Laura-Lou

Last year Krissi B was approached by a label to remix a song featuring Laura Lou. Krissi and Laura kept in contact and then recently they started working on an album. Laura-Lou has a very distinct voice. Definitely one to watch in 2008!

Marvin Brown

Rampant met Marvin in 2005, while promoting in Nottingham. They kept in contact and over the last 3 years Marvin managed to finish five albums of quality R&B. Being a garage DJ, Rampant initially found it hard to support Marvin’s songs. However with the help and expertise of a classically trained pianist and also Krissi B's production skills the three managed to complete a quality album. Marvin’s songs have been played on numerous UK radio stations including Radio 1, Galaxy, BBC 1 Xtra, Rock FM and he has released on vinyl, which has generated interest from major labels in the UK and abroad.

Next Steps.

We are currently looking to work with a lot more people. We have just completed a song with Rosie Gaines as well as DT from ‘Master of Ceremonies’ and are talking with a number of artists who have received commercial recognition over the past decade.
