With over a decade of experience in the Music industry, Abu Dhabi native Haneef Raisani is a young entrepreneur and a man of many talents.
He can rightly ray claim to being the founder of Middle East's first & only independent House record label (Raisani Records) at the age of 22 and to being the first home grown talent as a DJ/Producer who has hit the international dance music scene, touring the globe and working with artists such as David Morales, Frankie knuckles, Danny Krivit, Danny Rampling, Ultra Nate, Joe Clausell, Roland Clark, Inaya Day, Jay-J and Grammy Winner Maurice Joshua. Starting his career as the Label Manager for Universal Music International Middle East in 2000 and now the head Honcho for Dubai's first Independent House Label & lifestyle brand, RAISANI.
Billed as the 'Middle East godfather of House Music', Haneef Raisani had given a big hand in shaping the Dance music scene In Dubai & Abu Dhabi by opening doors to many of the major independent record labels including Clubstar, Defected, Soulfuric, Yoshitoshi, Strictly Rhythm, Global Underground, Fabric, Pacha, Subliminal, Azuli, Underwater to name a few.
Creating one of the first Emirati lifestyle brands won him the SME 'Entrepreneur of the Year' Award by SME Magazine Dubai in 2008 and he also won the Best Financial Implementation Award for starting off a business with minimum capital. In 2010 he was nominated as one of Emirates Hot 100 Individuals by Ahlan/Timeout Magazine Dubai and honored with a diploma by the Association of World Diplomatic Office, Madrid for his contributions and achievements.
Working in the industry for over 12 years and at age of 29, Raisani has achieved what many take decades to achieve. For the past 5 years, his DJ schedule has allowed him to share his love of music with fans around the world, playing records in every major city on every continent. In 2010 he had residencies in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Mykonos, Ibiza, Barcelona, Geneva, Miami and in 2011 he is even busier with a 100+ city world tour kicking off in South America hitting Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, Columbia, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay and Chile in March/April 2011 and the tour continues in Asia from April till mid May in Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and later to Australia and New Zealand. The tour continues in Europe with a weekly residency at Space Club Mykonos and all over Europe and Eastern Europe.
In 2005, Haneef had also launched the RAISANI FOUNDATION, a non-profit organization to support the children who suffer from poverty, deadly diseases, war and natural disasters. Already being praised by the mass for his dedication in child support and being a volunteer for UNICEF, his dream is to have an orphanage someday somewhere around the world.
