Born in 2005 as brass marching band to support to artist/vagabond Gigi Miracol, the Italian based "Funambolik Heptet" Radio Zastava translates in music the cultural blending of his own region, Friuli, land of borders and door with the Balkans and northern Europe.
The influences of this brass, percussions and accordion goes from Balkan/Klezmer to swing, alpine folk, punk. And so, in an arc of very brief time, Radio Zastava have already given two hundred concerts among United Kingdom, Germany, Austria Slovenia and France, participating to many international Festivals: Fete de la Musique (Paris), Balkan Beats and Paradise Gardens (London), Frequenzen Festival (Meldorf-Germany); becoming to one of the balkan oriented bands mostly in demand in Italy.
The today's repertoire of the Radio Zastava, and their mix of tradition and innovation, allows to give outlet to the virtuosity, to the improvisation and the strong theatricality that countersigns the group. The band is now working on a new CD on which to give vent to some unsuspected electro / dub and drum and bass influences.

Le influenze di questo ensamble di fiati e percussioni passano dal balkan/klezmer allo swing, alpine folk, punk. E cos�, in un arco di tempo molto breve, i Radio Zastava hanno gi� dato circa duecento concerti fra Austria, Slovenia, Francia, Germania e Regno Unito partecipando a numerosi festival internazionali: Fete de la Musique (Paris), Balkan Beats and Paradise Gardens (London), Frequenzen Festival (Meldorf-Germany) diventando a pieno titolo una delle formazioni balkan oriented pi� richieste e conosciute del nord Italia.
Il repertorio odierno dei Radio Zastava, a met� strada fra tradizione ed innovazione, permette di dare sfogo al virtuosismo, all'improvvisazione e alla prorompente teatralit� che contraddistingue il gruppo. Gli "Zastava" stanno attualmente lavorando ad un nuovo cd dove far confluire delle insospettabili influenze electro/dub e drum and bass.
