Radio Jetstream fails to fit in. A group of musical misfits, they are a mismatch to every glossy buzz word circulating in the Chicago music scene. Addressing this displacement, Patrick Hickey, the creative force behind Radio Jetstream, pokes fun at his lack of interest in music trends, "I thought about being bipster, but I couldn't afford all the layers. It's all too much work to be something I am not."



Taking the essence of punk back from the pop junkies, Radio Jetstream is the antithesis to lavish arrangements, a lo-fi revolution fueled by confident minimalism and addictively honest lyrics. The remnants of old Smoking Popes records and a hint of The Stones earlier work lays the stepping stones to Radio Jetstream's peerlessly raw sound.



Appearing along side Nada Surf on Copper Press 2006 Compilation, Radio Jetstream spent the past three years criss-crossing through the US and Canada in support of their debut album "Angelicdistro" gaining the reputation for having a live show more exciting than an old-fashioned jail room brawl. Compared to the likes of an early Lou Reed and Velvet Underground, Radio Jetstream breaks free from the confines of a typical live set, a credit to Patrick's eery ability to dismantle the size of any room and cast upon the crowd an intimate snapshot into the chaotic inner workings of an artist fully realizing his potential.
