"Le RACHDINGUE"
An obligatory stop on the Roman Surrealist path
Before leaving Catalonia, one is obiged to stop at the "Fondation of Art Rachdingue',
which is a pilgrimage into the very heart of surrealism and the sources of it's evolution.
In the innuence of Figueras which todays regards its Masters, the painter SALVADOR DALI with even more deep respect, Miette presents a collection, which is a moving expression of an unfailing friendship with this exceptional creator, Dali opened and patronised "LE RACHDINGUE' in 1968, putting and drawing his name to the walls. The international press inaugurated the launching of the perfume S. Dali, here in march 1986.
Numerous traces of a remarkable history are preserved in the walls of this predestined building : the Clédalisme, secret museum, "woman with drawers ' (the memory).
LA MIETTE' of the Bread Dalinian.
Its original name "LE RACHDINGUE' is the title of a book written by a friend, the writer Henri François REY, an hommage designating this place as a ground where the intelligentia. Jel Set, Contemporary artists (Cesar, etc) come together.
A real crucible. 'The Rachdingue" illustrates well the catalan philisophical, thought of Ramon Lull's dream " to be the Nord of the South and tho South of the Nord" to be between the Nordic ldealisme and the Southern positivism.
However it is Miettes work. 'THE ARREALISME TRIDIMENTIONNEL'
which Is the principal substence, a work which gives new inspiration and prominence to the force of tomorrow. At the heart of an evolutionary and great work is an initiatiry and unusual journey which develops the themes of the inventors of men, stars and matter. It eroticizes and quantifies the outside world. Forget reason. The epicentre of the legendary Ampurdan and the magic place béni des dieux (blessed of gods)
There is a whole magnificient region to discover at the heart of Daliland, 5 kms from Figueras (12 Kms as the crow flies from Cadaquès, easily reached from the Nord of the Cap Creus, near Llança).

MIETTE : AN ARTIST OF THE DALINIENNE COSMOGOMIC GRAVITATION
That is the interest which Dali gave to the sciences of the Univers,
Genetic and geological sciences. Besides Ultra Violet or Amanda Lear,
There is an artist at Cadaquès who is fascinated by the vision and the force of the masters creation.
The artists name is MIETTE, Saint-Sebastien or the Siren of Ampurdan will give life to models, pyramids of Characters and the whole unpredictable sprawling universe in the cosmos. Well-loved children of the show Business art, Miette exist, I met her.
