Quené is a sunshine loving Cali girl with a deep love for music that dates back to the womb. Born Quené Cherie Lewis on August 29th and raised in the Southern California suburb of Moorpark, CA, vocalist Quené has been performing since she could walk. She was introduced to a diverse variety of music by her father, Tony Lewis, long time drummer for Soul Legend, Smokey Robinson. Encouraged by her family to pursue her dreams, her parents gave her a notebook at age 7 in which to record her thoughts. She started writing melodies and lyrics, and since then, has accumulated an impressive catalog of over 100 original songs. Quené continued to write and perform throughout high school and college, catching the attention of respected artists Bishop Lamont and Puddle of Mudd, with whom she has recorded and performed. Quené’s musical influences cover the spectrum from classic to contemporary - From Tina Turner to Rihanna. Her music combines the silky smoothness of R & B, with the Hip Hop flavor of musical faves The Roots. She performs her live show at some of the hottest venues like the House of Blues and the Key Club, and is currently in the studio recording new songs for her upcoming release.

Check out my song "Girlfriends". The first song they play in the season finale of Basketball Wives. Here's the clip
