Pyrite

Pyrite has the illusion of being a basic rock band, but the sound has many layers: unusual arrangements, dual vocals, minimalism, maximalism, and everything in between.



Influenced by the lyrical and musical smarts of the Minutemen, the abrasiveness of the Jesus Lizard, and the sheer feedback of Sonic Youth, Pyrite is an assault on all senses. This is evident in their high-energy live show, where bits of no-wave, post-punk, noise-rock, and 60's psych are stirred together into the modern three-minute song.



So far, they have released a 5-song EP, IRON SOUL FIGHT, a full length entitled BACK PAIN on Belgian Style Records, and have upcoming untitled ep.
